This is a Very interesting book that was written before 1899 and covers the Boer war in South Africa. The Front board is illustrated in color and shows rubbing. Spine panel shows much rubbing to the top and less so to the rest of the panel. Binding is slightly loose and the title page as well as the dedication page have become detached from it but this would be very easy to repair. Otherwise the book is holding well and it is well illustrated.
