This book was written by the same authors of the huge bestsellers "Is Paris Burning?" and "Or I'll Dress You In Mourning". They are historical and biographical novelists that write with a gripping and compelling style. This books's subject is the ultimate terrorist threat and the possible apocalyptic consequences of nuclear technology. This proof was published in 1980, long before the terrorist events that we are all now familiar with. Looking back, the book almost seems prophetic. This volume is an uncorrected proof copy. This is a great novel from a relatively unknown but very skilled Texas author. The book is new and it has never been read. All corners are square and Mr. Cooper has signed and dated this book directly on the title page. If you like political humor, you will really enjoy this book. It is a darkly funny satire of Washington Politics and the Congress. Folks are killing Senators for the "Benefit" of the country. Very Fine. We are happy to send pictures on request. View More...
Sometimes I buy a book because of its striking dustcover and in this case its unusual story. The book itself is in near-fine condition with just a bit of foxing(light spotting) to the top edge. The fore-edge as well as the bottom edge are fine and clean. There is no foxing to the textblock and the book has some photographs included. There is very slight toning to the outside extremity of the ffep(First free endpaper). All corners are square and the book is a beautiful blue color that is unstained and unmarked. But it is the cool dustjacket that attracted me to this book. It is in Very Good+ co... View More...
