This is a beautiful First Edition Thus of Thoreau's great classic 'Cape Cod". It was limited to 1500 copies of which this is number 1454. The book was planned and printed by Fred Anthoensen at the Anthoensen Press in Portland. Main. The book is illustrated with drawings from R.J. Holden and is signed by him on the colophon. The book is in near fine condition with some spotting to the top-edge for a couple of inches out from the spine. There is very slight sunning to the spine of the book.
