Uncorrected proofs in near fine condition. Mr. Hersey, the son of a china missionary, drew on the journals and correspondence of his parents to weave the tale of the fictional David Treadup who has answered the call to spread Christianity among the Chinese people. This is historical fiction at its best. A truly epic tale of some 700 pages. Very near fine with very minor soiling to the wrap. We are happy to send pictures on request. View More...
