Author Name Hiaasen, Carl Title Lucky You Binding Hard Cover Book Condition Fine Jacket Condition Very Good+ Edition First Edition Size 8vo Publisher New York Knopf 1997 Inscription Signed by Author Seller ID 004350 From Carl Hiaasen, the writer who has been described as "Elmore Leonard on nitrous oxide" comes an amazing story of winning the Lottery in Florida. This is my personal favorite of the Hiaasen novels. It is really funny and just a little bit crazy. JoLayne's winning ticket isn't the only one. The other belongs to Bodean Gazzer and his raunchy sidekick Chub, who believe they are entitled to the whole $28 million jackpot. They need it quickly to start their own underground militia before NATO troops invade America. This volume is beautiful and in fine condition. All corners are square and the textblock is absolutely clean. The dustjacket is not price-clipped and shows only a very small crease to the top right extremity of the front panel and a corresponding small crease to the top back panel. They are virtually invisible and will be even less apparent when the book is placed in an archival jacket protector before shipping. The book is inscribed by Mr. Hiaasen on the half-title page. Carl Hiaasen is one of the most original and creative writers that has come down the pike in many years. His books are exciting, intelligent, and occasionally a bit "off the wall". The humor in his books is immediately captivating and if you haven't yet read this man, you are invited to a truly unique experience. This very beautiful book will please anyone who likes a fast and entertaining read. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
