Tales of a Foolish Farmer is a rich and happy story of a country boy who could never really leave the country. Although he travelled more than 50,000 miles around America, and wrote more than ten books and dozens of magazine articles, the rich soil of the Texas bottomlands finally pulled him back. He purchased two farms in Rockdale, Texas. George had plenty of troubles along the way and this book is a wonderful tale of carving a home out of the Texas land. His growing love for the farm and his realization that it has made his whole life more creative and meaningful will be spiritual medicine for everyone who would like to escape from the urban world.
