Originally published in 1965, God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater is a wonderful example of Kurt Vonnegut's unusual satiric style interplayed with dark themes that can amaze and shock. This novel tells the story of a shell-shocked millionaire who lives by the motto "Goddamn it, you've got to be kind". Rosewater becomes so "kind" that he is considered to be insane, particularly by the people that are after his fortune. Mr. Vonnegut here again displays his concept of the simultaneously comic and tragic absurdity of modern life. He has written over twenty books and he is one of the world's most admired writers. As always with Easton Press books, this beautiful book is bound in full-tooled leather with satin moiré endpapers, satin ribbon bookmark, and 22kt gold on the spine. The paper was made especially for this edition. The leather was cut entirely by hand. It includes a certificate of authenticity and a 4x6 card laid in with biographical information as well as a few words about the book itself. It is a volume of heirloom quality and will be treasured for generations to come. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
