The birth of the "Beat" movement in literature could not have occurred without William Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg. Burroughs is perhaps best known for his novel Naked Lunch and the prolific Allen Ginsberg was the author of Howl among many other important works of modern poetry. This book is in Fine condition and it has never been read. It includes a photo frontispiece as well as a preface by William Burroughs and a six-page writing by Allen Ginsberg called "Recollections of Burroughs Letters". The letters are informal and informative and they give us a real glimpse into the personality and quirks of William Burroughs. They were written at a time when Burroughs was trying to get off drugs in Tangiers and was writing Naked Lunch. A wonderful read and an important addition to any collection with an emphasis on this period of Literature. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
