Here is a beautiful copy of a scarce James Ellroy novel. Published in 1988 this copy looks like it was published yesterday with just two exceptions. There is a very small area of discoloration to the front board. Actuall it is just a little lighter in tone than the rest of the cover. There is also the tiniest bit of shelf-wear to the bottom of the spine panel on the dustjacket. It is virtually invisible. The novel takes place in 1950's Los Angeles and deals with the "Red Scare" and a string of brutal mutilation killings. We have Hollywood leftists on a collision course with a grand jury investigating team and a young homicide detective obsessed with capturing a murderer of unparalleled viciousness. This book is a Masterpiece of Noir writing. Quite scarce in this condition. We are always happy to send pictures on request.

Price = 60.00 USD
