This is a rare offering for the readers of Mordecai Richler. Richler is well known for his international bestseller, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz and many other fine novels. He passed away just a few years ago and he will be sorely missed by readers around the world as well as in his home country of Canada. I met Mr. Richler at an event several years ago that highlighted several Canadian authors and he was a true gentleman. This uncorrected proof copy states that This Year in Jerusalem is the "tentative" title. The book is comprised of Mr. Richler's essays and reports. It is beautifully written. The proof is in Fine condition and looks new. There is some slight toning of the text but it is very slight. A proof serves the purpose of allowing the writer and the publisher to check for any changes or errors that need to be fixed before the book is published for the first time. Proofs are also sent to professional reviewers. Proofs are published prior to the release of the first edition and they are printed in very small quantities. They are more rare than the First edition. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
