This is the uncorrected proof volume one of Love and War which is the of the second volume of John Jakes 'The North and South Trilogy'. Love and War can also stand independently of volume one of the trilogy. The volume is undated and preceded the First edition in a very small printing as is usual for proofs. This is Volume one of the proof so the publisher created two separate proofs for this novel. This copy is in near fine condition with some sunning to the extremities and a small smudge to the top of the spine panel. The textblock is tight and clean. A very nice proof.
