Ken Kesey passed away a couple of years ago and his loss has been keenly felt by the book community. He was the author of such modern classics as "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" as well as "Sometimes A Great Notion". It was published pre-first edition in New York by the Viking Press in 1992. The volume is bound in pictorial wraps and this Advance copy is not only rare, it is somewhat unusual. The text block is not attached to the pictorial wrap cover. I believe this is as issued as there are no remnants of glue to the area of the book where it would have been attached. There is Looseness in first preliminary page but this could be easily repaired. Otherwise, the book is in Fine condition. Sailor Song is an epic novel that basically asks the question: Does love make any sense at the end of the world? The book is about things that endure and come around again - back at you and back to you. Advance uncorrected proofs. Nice copy. We are happy to send pictures on request.
