From the author of 'The Maltese Falcon" this proof contains twenty long unavailable stories. It is very rare to see a proof from an author of this caliber. Obviously published posthumously, this proof is in near-fine condition with a small crease to the lower right corner of the front panel. Light creasing but a really nice copy. Proofs are published in small quantities before the first edition and are therefore more scarce than the first edition.
