This is a beautiful proof of a book that was published in October of 2001 and lauded by the New York Times book review. Sue Miller is the author of The Good Mother and While I was Gone. The publisher says that this is the story of a woman at a crossroads who discovers a secret in her grandmother's past that transforms her understanding of destiny and marriage and calls all of her own choices into question.
