Stars Screaming

This is an Uncorrected Manuscript of John Kaye's wonderful novel 'Stars Screaming'. It preceded the first edition and was printed in a very small printing. The uncorrected manuscript is created so that the author and publisher can make any needed changes before publication and thus is much more rare than the first edition. The book is in at least Very Good+ condition. It is bound in bright yellow wraps and the corners are all square. There are no creases to the spine panel. This is the premier novel of Mr. Kaye and it is a winner. It is an unsparing and sensual novel about lost dreams and unrequited love. The novel takes us to Hollywood to trace the legacy of one man's life. Ray Burk is struggling to get into 'The Business' as a screen writer. His wife suddenly begins to lose her mind. Burk starts spending entire days circling Los Angeles on an endless path, worrying about the future of his five-year-old son. Through his wandering a searing picture begins to emerge. Kaye's vision of Hollywood illuminates the lost souls that inhabit the underside of the city. Alongside the shimmering stars on Hollywood Boulevard there are pimps and winos that eke out their existence. There are B-movie actors who drink away the afternoon and Burk slowly loses his grip on his own life. The novel is complex and difficult to describe but is a great read and a rare copy. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
