This beautiful book is one of the Franklin Library ''Deluxe'' signed editions with the tissue paper protecting the signature. It is bound in full-tooled leather with satin moiré endpapers and a satin ribbon bookmark. This volume is in as new, never read condition and it makes a wonderful presentation. This offering also includes the 22 page booklet that accompanied the book on publication. It also includes a special introduction by William Styron that appears in no other edition of this book. This book is in As New condition and is still in the publisher's shrink-wrap. The pictures that I am showing you are of an open copy of the book. Your copy is pristine and perfect. The book is bound in full-tooled leather with satin moiré endpapers, satin ribbon bookmark and 22kt gold highlights on the spine. The paper was made especially for this edition. The leather was cut entirely by hand. It includes a certificate of authenticity and a 4x6 card laid in with biographical information as well as a few words about the book itself. Published by Easton Press in 1999 it is a volume of heirloom quality and will be treasured for generations to come. Sophie's Choice is the complex tale of an aspiring young writer, Stingo, who befriends Nathan Landau, a brilliant, unstable Jew. Nathan's beautiful Polish lover, Sophie, is a survivor of the Nazi Holocaust whose guilt over a terrible choice forced on her at Auschwitz destroys both her life and Nathan's.
