This book tells a tale that takes readers on a tangled and eventful trip to the very beginnings of the "Easy Rawlins" mysteries. The volume is in Fine condition and it has never been read. It is signed directly on the title page by Walter Mosley. It is not price-clipped and it shows no flaws. There is magic and genius in the in the novels of Walter Mosley and this story is no exception. The setting of the novel is 1939 Houston. "Easy" and "Mouse" are young men getting started in life. It was published in 1992 by Norton. In 1956 Los Angeles, when a serial killer murders three black bar girls, leaving a distinctive mark each time, no one pays any particular attention.
