This is a Beautiful quarto volume that could even serve as a coffee table book. It Contains two related works and many, many striking pictures. Apart from the title the book contains 'The African Experience' by Eliot Porter. Peter Matthiessen is also the author of Litle Big Man. There is some virtually invisible scratching to the front of the dustjacket which will be unapparent when the book is placed in its archival book protector before shipment. In other respects the book is in Fine condition and very impressive. In this book two celebrated American naturalists, one an acute observer of the natural world and the other our best color photographer, join forces to evoke the African experience. From the upper Nile, south through Tanzania and northwest to remore Lake Rudolf on the Kenyan Frontier we are taken along on this fascinating journey.
