Here we have E.L. Doctorow`s Billy Bathgate in the First Edition and First printing. Published in 1989 and developed into a major motion picture this novel has a timeless quality in its themes and beauty. This volume has a very light ownership stamp on the top right corner of the front endpaper. It is by no means prominent. There is also a single crease to the spine. Having said that, the book is in wonderful shape. The dust jacket is near fine with only very slight wear to the top of the spine. We are pleased to send pictures on request.

New York Random House 1985 First Edition Limited Slip-Case - Hard Cover Fine No Jacket Signed by Author
This is a Very Fine Limited, edition from Random House. E.L. Doctorow is also the author of Ragtime and Lives of the Poets. This edition was Limited to 300 copies of which this is number 210. The book is in Very Fine condition and appears to have never been read. The textblock is perfectly clean and the book resides in its original publisher's slipcase. There are a couple of very small scuffs to the spine of the slipcase but no other flaws to the slipcase or the book. World's Fair is E. L. Doctorow's amazng novel of a young boy's life in the 1930's in New York. this wonderful novel recreates with completely believable detail all of the sights, sounds, and emotions of life in Manhattan when the streets were safe to walk, when families stuck together through hard times, and where a boy named Edgar could savor the customs and culture, the longings and the glittering promises that culminated in the 1939 World's Fair.
