2 Morley, Christopher Old Mandarin, The
New York Harcourt Brace and Co. 1947 First Edition Cloth Very Good+ No Jacket
Christopher Morley is the author who brought us two books that are quite important and popular in the book world. They are, 'The Haunted Bookshop' and 'Parnassus on Wheels'. 'The Old Mandarin' is a wonderful collection of verses translated from the Chinese with illustrations from Carl Rose. Although the scan did not turn out well on this book, I can assure you that the book is in excellent condition. It does not have a dustjacket but the book shows only very minimal shelf-wear. It is a very nice litle first edition of a work that is seldom run across.
