Gifted Trust, Allen, John Paul
2 Allen, John Paul Gifted Trust
Duluth Georgia Biting Dog Press 2003 First Edition Trade Paperback As New No Jacket 8vo Signed by Author
Here is a wonderful addition to the genre of Horror novels. It is a First edition in the original wraps and is in the form of a large trade paperback. It is signed directly on the title page by the author, John Paul Allen, the editor, Nancy Collins, and the cover artist, Alan M. Clark. This is one of only fifty copies that were signed this way for promotional purposes. Also included with this volume is a publisher's promotional card that was issued for the first edition. The book is in as new condition and it has never been read. The plot deals with a head coach at an alternative high school in Texas. Few people realize that he is fighting the embraces of a dark side compelling him to fulfill its evil desires. The three main characters are separated by seven decades through the power of "Virago", whose indestructible evil manifests itself within each as it seeks domination of their souls. John Paul Allen takes us into a world where death only delays the inevitable. A journey of one soul through three lives brings us to a new level of horror. Regulators, The, Bachman, Richard (Stephen King)
3 Bachman, Richard (Stephen King) Regulators, The
New York Dutton 1996 First Edition Hard Cover Near Fine Near Fine 8vo
This novel was written by Richard Bachman which is a pseudonym for Stephen King. King wrote several other books under this name such as 'Thinner'. The novel is a First Edition and a First Printing with the number 0996 at the bottom of the inside front flap. It is in Near Fine condition with two very small spots on the front board. The corners are square and the textblock is pristine. There is a very, very, light pencil line to the bottom edge and it is almost invisible. The dustjacket is also very near fine and only shows some tiny shelf wear to the top of the spine panel. It will probably dissappear when I place the book in an archival Brodart protector before shipment. The dustjacket is not price-clipped. This is a great copy of this First Edition. They say that 'Richard Bachman' is 'Stephen King Without a conscience'. 'The Regulators' is the story of a suburban neighborhood in the grip of surreal horror. The mayhem rages around a darkened house lit fitfully from within by a flickering television screen. Inside, things have not been normal for a long time. By the time night falls on Poplar Street, the surviving residents will find themselves in another world. It is a world where anything, no matter how terrible, is possible, and where the regulators are on their way. How far they will go, and how they can be stopped are the desperate questions. The answers are absolutely terrifying. We are pleased to send pictures on request.

Sacrament, Barker, Clive
5 Barker, Clive Sacrament
New York Harper Collins 1996 First Edition Hard Cover Fine Fine 8vo Signed by Author
Here is a beautiful offering for the Clive Barker collector. It is a signed copy of Sacrament that is in Fine condition. This is the first edition as well as the first printing. Sacrament is a novel unlike any other that Mr. Barker has written. It is neither horror nor fantasy but delves into both as Clive Barker tells a tale of a wildlife photographer who chronicles the fate of endangered species, including his own. It is a mystical work of fiction dealing with the future of our species and indeed, all species. However, this is not a treatise on ecology. It is fast paced and very well written. Clive's fans owe it to themselves to experience this sharply different tale of dreams and realities, of mysticism and adventure. This is a really fine copy of a most significant work. We are pleased to send pictures on request.

Living Demons, The, Bloch, Robert
6 Bloch, Robert Living Demons, The
New York Belmont Books 1967 First Edition Mass Market Paperback Very Good No Jacket 12mo Signed by Author
This is the First edition and Printing of a marvelous work by Robert Bloch, the Author who gave us Psycho and it's sequels. It is in Mass Market Paperback format and for it's age it is in excellent condition. The text on the cover reads: 'Feeding on Fear and Gore The Living Demons swarm beyond the boundaries of their Nightmare World'. This copy is signed directly on the title page and the inscription reads 'All the Best, Robert Bloch'. The book shows some wear with a couple of scratches to the wraps and some light soiling to the back panel of the wraps. There is moderate toning to the text but the book is tight and the pages are not so yellowed that they would be unstable. It is a tight, solid book with a 50 cent price on it's cover. It's been a while since I have seen a paperback for 50 cents! The book is very collectible because of it's First edition status as well as the inscription from a Master of Horror. We are pleased to send pictures on request.

Hannibal, Harris, Thomas
9 Harris, Thomas Hannibal
London William Heineman 1999 First Edition Cloth Near Fine Near Fine 8vo
In this, the third Hannibal Lecter novel, Dr. Lecter is back and he has some new and creative ideas! This is the United Kingdom first edition and first printing. The volume showing some very light toning and light shelf-wear with a bit of staining to the fore-edge. There is a very slight lean to the book. It really does not detract. Folks, if you have not read this book, and have only seen the movie, you are in for a major surprise at the end of the story. Apparently the film people never even considered putting the ending of the book into the movie. I suppose they thought that the book's ending was a bit too intense. Nice copy.

Bag of Bones, King, Stephen
11 King, Stephen Bag of Bones
New York Scribner 1998 1st Edition Advance Wraps Fine No Jacket 8vo
Here is a Very Fine copy of the proof of what has been called Stephen King's most unforgettable novel. The Pre-First Edition Advance Reading Copy from the Uncorrected Proofs. Proofs are published in very small quantities and as such are more rare than First Editions. This proof is tight and clean with all corners square and no creases to the spine. This is a remarkable collector's book. This title, while still containing the general spookiness of all Mr. Kings novels also reaches beyond its genre' into the world of fine literature. For all his popularity, it is my opinion that the quality of Mr. King's writing is often underrated. He is a fine modern novelist and this wonderful title is further proof of that. The condition of the book is Very Fine. This is a story of grief and a lost love's enduring bonds. A New love that is haunted by the secrets of the past, and of an innocent child caught in the terrible crossfire. A Great read! We are pleased to send pictures on request.

New York Hyperion 2001 First Edition Cloth Laminate Fine No Jacket 8vo
This is the First edition and First printing of this classic haunted house novel. When it was first published, it was assumed that Stephen King had written it but it later became known that the true author was Ridley Pearson. This is the book that the miniseries Rose Red was based on and it follows the construction of the spooky old place in the form of Ellen Rimbauer's contemporary diary. The book is in very fine condition and it is bound in a cloth laminate. In addition the book resides in a mylar cover. Rose Red was an enormous home that would be the site of so many horrific and inexplicable tragedies in the years after it's building. Historian, The, Kostova, Elizabeth
16 Kostova, Elizabeth Historian, The
New York Little Brown Company 2005 First Edition Cloth As New As New 8vo Signed by Author
This is a brand new book and it has not been read. It is in Very Fine condition and it is Signed and Dated by the author in the month of publication. This novel was a New York Times bestseller and it has rightfully taken its place with the great gothic horror novels. This is a different kind of Vampire story and I promise that you have never read anything quite like it. Late one night, exploring her father's library, a young woman finds an ancient book and a cache of old yellow letters. The letters are all addressed to "My Dear and Unfortunate Successor" and they plunge her into a world that she never dreamed existed. The letters provide links to one of the darkest powers that humanity has ever known, and to a centuries-long quest to find the source of that darkness and destroy it. It is a quest for the truth about Vlad the Impaler, the barbarous medieval ruler whose reign formed the basis of the Dracula legend. In the course of reading the book we are well informed of eastern European history and the trail of Dracula is followed in a complex and subtle manner. The book is a wonderful change from the standard horror novel and it certainly qualifies as 'Literature". A great read and a beautiful book. We are pleased to send pictures on request.

Servant of the Bones, Rice, Anne
20 Rice, Anne Servant of the Bones
New York Knopf 1996 First Edition Hard Cover Near Fine Near Fine 8vo Signed by Author
This is a novel that is quickly becoming very collectible with Anne Rice's turnaround in her writing towards Christian themes. This novel was Published in 1996. 'Servant of the Bones' was a major departure for Anne Rice in terms of character and theme. Leaving behind her Vampires and Witches she now carries us into new realms of the occult, the mystical, and the magical with a new hero. He is dark, luminous, powerful, witty and smiling. He is a ghost, a demon, and an angel. He is Azriel, the Servant of the Bones. This book is in Fine condition with no bumped corners and an absolutely beautiful and clean text block. There is a small bit of shelf wear at the extreme bottom of the spine that has just a little crinkling. The beautiful dust jacket is not price-clipped and shows minor creasing to the extreme top and bottom of the spine panel. This is not as bad as it might sound! These shiny, almost metallic dustjackets are extremely fragile and sensitive to bending. This is also the way 'Interview With the Vampire' was published and the main problem with finding a great copy of that title is the dust jacket for the same reason. The book is signed by Anne Rice on her personal bookplate which depicts the Rice property in New Orleans. The plate is attached to the front pastedown. All-in-all this is a Very Near Fine copy of this great bestseller and it is very collectible. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
